Peter Tegart

Most recently the founding CEO of Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council, Peter Tegart has held several CEO and General Manager roles for more than 20 years across the local and commonwealth public sectors. Those roles managed organisations over 500 staff and $300m budgets, while key responsibilities included government advocacy and relationships, strategic planning, financing, project and program oversight, risk assessments and reporting on infrastructure and development projects. Peter is a Fellow CPA and enjoys professional accreditation with PIA, IPWEA and LG Professionals. He has shaped infrastructure prospectus and project office models for regional councils; and infrastructure asset, water, and sewer utility, TBL and risk management frameworks that have been recognised with NSW Premier, CPA President and United Nations awards.
