Rizina graduated from Stanford, having studied Economics, Sociology, and Philosophy, and won an Excellence Award. She has held policy and strategy roles with the Cancer Council, Doughty Street Chambers, and Stanford University, and completed work for the James Martin Institute for Public Policy, UK House of Lords, and the Department of Prime Minister & Cabinet. Rizina runs a social impact initiative - Young Women's Policy Submission (YWPS) - funded by the Fairfax Foundation, aiming to improve young women's life outcomes in eight areas. Rizina won a Dame Marie Bashir Peace Award, Order of Australia John Lincoln Youth Award, an Edna Ryan Award, and was a United Nations Academic Impact Millennium Fellow.
