Sophie Bailey has recently graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Medical Science and Advanced Studies (Hons, Class I), earning a place on the Dean’s List for Academic Excellence. During her time at USYD, she represented the university in Nationals, Intervarsity and Metro League Competitions for Netball, was an Executive at USYD Netball Club, a House Committee Member and Alumni Secretary at Wesley College.
Sophie has researched and worked at a range of hospitals, including Westmead’s Children Hospital and Mater Private Hospital. She worked alongside adolescent health research leaders, clinical experts and SME's to deliver an implementation study on a psychosocial assessment, the research published in June 2023. During this time, Sophie also volunteered in India, where she served as a medical aid at community-run health centers. Instigating change and making meaningful impact are important drivers in her work.
Driven by a passion for solving complex problems, Sophie is now transitioning toward a career in management consultancy. Her leadership roles and diverse experiences, have confirmed her commitment to pursue a team-based, people orientated, and socially impactful profession.
